Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd yesterday announced a strategic collaboration with Cognizant, a leading global business and technology consulting firm, to lay the foundation of digital banking platform across the Bank’s entire network.
The agreement was signed by Khairul Kamarudin, Chief Executive Officer of Bank Islam, and Effendi Azmi Hashim, Malaysia Business Leader of Cognizant, at a ceremony held at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The AMMI Medical Device Industry Outlook Report 2017, launched at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) HQ yesterday, highlighted that AMMI recorded an outstanding value-added ratio of 57% in manufacturing medical devices in Malaysia.
Equally impressive is the fact that some RM2.84 billion or 63% worth of raw materials and services were locally sourced from within the country. This reflects AMMI’s commitment in supporting government initiatives to develop local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Waloni, Senior Advisor to the Minister for Air Accessibility, Ministry of Tourism Republic of Indonesia; Aireen Omar, CEO of AirAsia Berhad; and Rifai Taberi, Commercial Director of Indonesia AirAsia.
