Kuala Lumpur, April 26 - Maybank is expecting financing to the Retail Small and Medium Enterprise (RSME) segment to grow by 35% this year, compared with about 27% recorded last year. This will bring its total RSME loan portfolio to RM16.8 billion by end 2017.
Maybank Head of Community Financial Services (CFS), Malaysia, Datuk Hamirullah Boorhan, said the RSME segment was a key component of the CFS portfolio and had consistently been registering double digit growth over the last 5 years. RSMEs typically comprise businesses with turnover of RM25 million and below.
Dubai, April 26 - Agrobank receives another recognition from the Global Good Governance Awards (3G Awards) for the category 3G Financial Services Awards.
The 3G Financial Services Award is awarded to Agrobank in recognition of the Bank's strong contribution in financial inclusion and initiatives undertaken to broaden access to finance. The Awards was received by Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal, Chairman of Agrobank together with Jasni Mohamed Yusof, Chief Credit Officer of Agrobank on behalf of the Bank. The event was held in Dubai, UAE and attended by more than 400 guests from all over the world.
Kuching, April 25 - Sarawak is set to spearhead a revolution to rally all Business Events communities in Malaysia under the Redefining Global Tribes campaign in conjunction with the Global Meetings Industry Day 2017 celebration earlier this month.
“We are calling all Business Events communities in Malaysia to unite. As one global tribe, we will construct a stronger identity for Sarawak and Malaysia; not only for Business Events, but also to spur the country’s fiscal and social growth,” said Amelia Roziman, Chief Operating Officer of Sarawak Convention Bureau.
