GoCar Malaysia and Shell Malaysia inked a partnership and announced the availability of the car sharing service at 100 Shell stations across Klang Valley, Johor Bahru and Penang.
The partnership aims to enhance the journeys of Malaysians by providing them added convenience for their travel options and is in line with both companies’ commitment in making life’s journeys better for all Malaysians.
Sunway’s non-profit incubator and accelerator, Sunway iLabs, launched its Sunway iLabs Makerspace with five initial industry partners, Google, NEC, Hitachi Sunway, Xperanti, and GE, which aims to equip students and entrepreneurs with a collaborative space and tools for innovation.
The event also saw Sunway iLabs announcing three new international collaborations - the European Commission-funded South East Asia Social Innovation Network (SEASIN), the University of California, Berkeley; and Silicon Valley accelerator, A3 Global Collider, which will provide students and entrepreneurs with additional sources of capital; mentorship and links to international markets.
The number of Malaysians in the labour force with tertiary education increased the most by about 1.3 million while those with secondary education increased by 1.2 million from 2010 to 2017, according to a report by Khazanah Research Institute.
The State of Households 2018: Different Realities report published by Khazanah Research Institute stated that there was a decrease of about 438,000 Malaysians with primary education in the labour force over the same period.
