In a recent interview with Ain Nadira, the owner of Take Five, we delved into her entrepreneurial journey and the distinctive traits that set her business apart.

Ain Nadira, 29, the proud owner of Take Five Coffee Brewers, shared her inspiring journey from working in the F&B industry to becoming an entrepreneur. "I started as a part-timer at a coffee shop," she revealed, reflecting on her initial exposure to the world of coffee.

Having pursued a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) degree at Management and Science University, Ain discovered that her true passion lay in services, particularly within the F&B sector. "I realised my passion is more in services," she explained. This realisation marked the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey.

Recently celebrated its first anniversary, Take Five Coffee Brewers stands out through a blend of exceptional products and outstanding services. According to Ain, the key differentiator is the emphasis on customer service. "You need to treat your customers like your friends. Even if it's their first visit, greet them and engage in casual conversations. These small gestures help to connect with customers." Ain advised, highlighting the importance of creating a welcoming atmosphere.

The layout of the coffee shop is thoughtfully designed, providing both a communal feel and private spaces. "The tables are arranged to provide a sense of community and privacy. Each table is placed individually, allowing customers to enjoy their own space. Whether you need some 'me-time' or want to unwind after a stressful day at work, Take Five is a perfect place." Ain said.

Take Five's signature drink— Iced Latte with oat milk — reflects Ain's personal favourite. The coffee beans they use are carefully selected and adjusted by baristas to ensure a consistent and delightful customer experience. "The beans we are using are specialty beans. The roaster we work with has been in the industry for a long time, and they know their products well." Ain said.

The vibrant yellow hue of the coffee machine stands out, adding a pop of color to the entire store.

In addition to its renowned coffee, Take Five also offers various delectable bagels. Ain's approach to menu creation is spontaneous, stating, "We just wing it on the menu." This spirit of exploration has resulted in a menu featuring unique combinations and flavours, including OG Cream Cheese Bagel, Bacon Rocket Bagel, Steak and Cheese Bagel, and others.

As Take Five Coffee Brewers completes its first successful year, Ain Nadira envisions future expansion, with plans for a second outlet in the next 2-3 years. The emphasis, however, remains on careful consideration and research to ensure each outlet reflects the unique identity and quality associated with Take Five. 

The coffee shop has become a local favourite and a community hub where individuals come together to share experiences over a cup of meticulously crafted coffee. As Take Five grows, it will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on Shah Alam's vibrant coffee culture.
