In conjunction with Earth Day which falls on 22nd April 2022, let’s work hand-in-hand to nurture Mother Earth the way she nurtures us, in line with this year’s ‘Invest in Our Planet’ theme.

Back in 2012, the United Nations introduced a set of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the objective of addressing environmental, political and economic world challenges. With climate change on the rise, our generation is more conscious than ever to continuously reduce carbon footprint and adopt a greener living, with some stepping up to even become eco-warriors.

On March 16, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the government  decided to allow contributors of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to make a special  withdrawal of RM10,000 to ease the burden of EPF members who are still impacted by the  Covid-19 pandemic.

According to EPF, the special withdrawal facility is open to all contributors aged below 55  years old. In addition to Malaysians, this facility is also open to non-citizens as well as  permanent residents who are EPF members. Nevertheless, members must have at least  RM150 in their EPF account at the time of application.

In today's digital business world, especially for business processes, interconnection requirements increase in parallel with the growth in digital and cloud-based services. According to a study conducted by the OECD, the global Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the need for stable, fast, and efficient Internet for millions of employees and employers who already take advantage of the option of working from home and are more likely to do so in the future. They depend on video calls, stable VPN connections, and fast access to work-related material. Because of the importance of these digital applications to businesses and people, every millisecond counts. This is where latency, the time it takes for data to travel to its destination for processing and back again, plays a major role. High latency causes the lag we experience, for example, with performance problems on video conferencing software. All digital applications used in offices, the manufacturing sector, and all other industries today are extremely latency-sensitive as they need to deliver high performance in no time to guarantee a better digital experience.
