TIME Records Sustained Growth for FY2020

Shah Alam, 26 February 2021 – TIME dotCom Berhad (“TIME” or “the Group”) recorded a consolidated Group revenue of RM1,223.2 million for the financial year ended 31 December 2020 (FY2020). This represents a 9.8% increase over the same period of the preceding year with Retail and Wholesale customer groups leading the contributions to revenue growth. The Group’s Data and Data Centre product groups recorded higher sales resulting in year-on-year revenue growth of 10.7% and 8.6%, respectively.

The Group’s consolidated profit before tax grew to RM423.1 million for the period under review, a RM95.0 million increase over the RM328.1 million recorded for the same period in FY2019. The increase can be attributed to higher overall revenue, higher dividend income and a higher share of profits from associates.

Kuala Lumpur, 24 February 2021- Reader’s Digest has launched a virtual celebration to acknowledge its latest Malaysia Trusted Brands and personality award winners. More than 100 Malaysian brands are among the selected winners of the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards 2021 out of more than 50 categories listed in the recent event.

Due to the global pandemic, the traditional awards ceremony could not be held, but Reader’s Digest was determined to recognise “success that deserves to be celebrated” says Reader’s Digest Editor-in-Chief Louise Waterson. As a result, the inaugural virtual awards for Malaysia (plus Singapore and the Philippines) is now live on the website.

Asia Reader’s Digest Advertising & Retail Director Sheron White says, for the first time in the award’s 23-year history the live celebration had to be cancelled, but all is certainly not lost. 

Limited Edition KFC Original Plate Is Up for Bid

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 FEBRUARY 2021 – Malaysians’ love for KFC was showcased recently with the news  about the open bidding of “KFC” car registration plates by JPJ resulting in more than RM2million  successfully being collected. Joining in on the fun, KFC Malaysia will be holding its first-ever open bidding  for its limited-edition KFC Original Plate (the literal one) on 25 February 2021, 11am – 11pm on the KFC  Facebook page. 

The bid opens at RM11 where Malaysians can participate with a minimum bid increase of RM1. The highest  bidder will be deemed as the winner with 100% profit will go towards KFC Add Hope Malaysia - the local  installment of KFC’s global initiative to end world hunger.
