The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Malaysia Country Office and Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC) yesterday launched the first ever UNDP Youth Co: Lab Malaysia.
Youth Co:Lab is a UNDP Asia-Pacific youth entrepreneurship initiative to position young people front and centre in order to solve the region’s most pressing challenges. UNDP, MaGIC and Citi Foundation are in collaboration to instigate, catalyse, and sustain youth innovation by supporting the region’s youth-led startups and social enterprises through Youth Co:Lab Malaysia.
Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) and Common Ground, Malaysia’s largest leading coworking space, yesterday announced its partnership to spur the growth of Malaysia’s existing startup ecosystem through providing the community a conducive platform to network and co-create revolutionary ideas.
As part of the partnership, PDB and Common Ground will also be curating a collaborative program that focuses on guiding and mentoring startups to enable the corporations to innovate solutions that are relevant to PDB’s business.
BMW Group Malaysia yesterday delivered the first units of the recently unveiled MINI Countryman for its export programme to Thailand. The variants exported to Thailand are the MINI Cooper S Countryman and the MINI Cooper S Countryman Hightrim.
Harald Hoelzl, Managing Director and CEO, BMW Group Malaysia said, “The INOKOM Corporation plant in Kulim, Kedah, which is a partnership between Sime Darby Berhad and BMW Group Malaysia, are among 30 production sites in 14 countries around the world for the BMW Group and is an important touch point for us in the South East Asian region.”
