A community initiative to revive local pride and deepen our love for Malaysia\u2019s capital city, Cities of Love is proud to launch Kuala Lumpur, I Love You.<\/p>\n
The citywide initiative is launched to celebrate city pride and is part of the global Cities of Love movement which focuses on spreading love \u2018in\u2019 and \u2018for\u2019 Kuala Lumpur.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Through the art of storytelling, KL, I Love You will positively highlight the collective experiences of this city namely in its urban spaces, migration & movement, differences & diversity, history & memories, fascination towards the supernatural & superstitious, stories of love & relationships, youth & young people, and money, work & trade<\/p>\n
For Kuala Lumpur, I Love You, renowned local writer and director, Dain Said was appointed Cities of Love Malaysia\u2019s City Manager.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is apt and timely that we\u2019re hosting this launch in conjunction with the United Nations\u2019 World Urban Forum as our nine key pillars also tie in with the UN\u2019s New Urban Agenda.<\/p>\n
With that, we\u2019re very proud to be holding up these pillars that will build and express our feelings and ideas through KL, I Love You,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
KL, I Love You is part of the global Cities of Love franchise of collective motion pictures, which started with the films “Paris, je t’aime”, and “New York, I Love You”.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The initiative, he said,\u00a0 is to bring our creative practices together to tell stories across different media and events.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Working with brands, partners and stakeholders, KL, I Love You encourages participation from any and all groups that are invested in making Kuala Lumpur a better place.\u00a0<\/p>\n
From traditional media to artists, architects and designers, KL, I Love You will draw the best of the local scene to tell their KL story.<\/p>\n
The KL omnibus will join the other celebrated Cities of Love films like those of Shanghai (China), Berlin (Germany), Malmo (Sweden) and Rotterdam (The Netherlands).<\/p>\n
Cities of Love has now\u00a0 grown into a global community movement in over 20 cities and counting.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
