AirAsia\u2019s corporate headquarters, RedQ, was officiated yesterday by the Prime Minister of Malaysia,Datuk Seri Najib Razak, accompanied by Minister of Transport, Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and Minister in the Prime Minister\u2019s Department Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Rahman Dahlan.\u00a0<\/p>\n
AirAsia Group chief executive officer and AirAsia X Co-Group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said AirAsia is a people\u2019s company that always put their employees first.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHence, RedQ was designed with our Allstars (AirAsia employees) happiness and health in mind. We wanted to create an office that was transparent, meritocratic and digital, one that embraces innovation as well as multiculturalism.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is so our staff have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential and be the best versions of themselves.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is for this reason that AirAsia has won world\u2019s best low-cost airline nine years in a row,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
AirAsia and AirAsia X employees in Malaysia officially moved into RedQ in November 2016. Designed with an industrial aesthetic, the office spans 18,000 square metres and houses more than 2,000 employees.<\/p>\n
RedQ\u2019s facilities include a Lil Star Child Care, physiotherapy centre, Allstars clinic, a gym with personal trainer, sleeping pods, cafeteria, T&Co coffee bar, salad bar and a three-storey spiral slide.<\/p>\n
The officiating ceremony was witnessed by over 2,000 Allstars in attendance and at the airline\u2019s Penang, Johor, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu hubs via live telecast.<\/p>\n
Also, in attendance was AirAsia Berhad executive chairman and AirAsia X Group chief executive officer, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun.\u00a0<\/p>\n
