Global nutrition company, Herbalife officially launched its first Asia Pacific Shared Services Center (SSC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Occupying two floors of Horizon 2 in the Bangsar South enclave of Kuala Lumpur, the new SSC is the fifth such center to be launched globally as part of Herbalife\u2019s Global Business Services Centers (GBSC) strategy, housing over 100 employees to support the growing demand for nutrition in the Asia Pacific region and around the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe new shared services center is in close proximity to the majority of the Company\u2019s member base in Asia Pacific and plays an important role in driving continued growth of the region\u2019s nutrition business,\u201d said Herbalife senior vice president and managing director of Asia Pacific region, Stephen Conchie.<\/p>\n
The new SSC in Kuala Lumpur joins other centers around the globe in Guadalajara in Mexico, Queretero in Mexico, Krakow in Poland and Bangalore in India with the aim of streamlining business operations, standardising service standards and enabling increased agility for Herbalife\u2019s growing nutrition business.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Fully equipped to support back-office operations such as finance and accounting, global sourcing, information technology, member business practices and compliance as well as Member Technology and Strategy (MTS), the Kuala Lumpur SSC features a skilled team adept at working across geographies and specialisations to drive increased business efficiency and cost effectiveness for more sustainable operations in the long run.<\/p>\n
