OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad (OCBC Bank) recently assigned a mission to their valued business partners and friends should they choose to accept, at the St Regis Hotel.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The order of the evening was strictly a licence to celebrate in the mould of the 007 Secret Service agent famous for his thrilling lifestyle.<\/p>\n
The celebration, orchestrated by OCBC Bank Senior Banker & Head of Investment Banking Tan Ai Chin, and jointly hosted by OCBC Bank Chairman Tan Ngiap Joo and CEO Datuk Ong Eng Bin, was to commemorate yet another fine year of partnership and enduring friendship with the Bank\u2019s loyal business partners and friends.<\/p>\n
The gentlemen arrived looking suave in their sharp tuxedos and cool villain outfits, while sultry \u201cBond Girls\u201d mesmerised the crowd with their exquisite gowns and sky-high stilettos. The line snaking to the neon-lit photo wall was endless as everyone joined in the fun posing for their stunning shots.<\/p>\n
The OCBC team had worked incessantly to put together what was an exhilarating epic showdown between Agents and Villains. The stars of the night were OCBC Bank\u2019s very own charming Dato\u2019 Ong Eng Bin (fondly nicknamed Secret Agent 001 for the event) who swept the crowd off their feet with his impressive theatricals, as well as the mastermind behind that fabulous evening, Ms Tan Ai Chin with her appealing stage presence.<\/p>\n
Paying tribute to the audience, Dato\u2019 Ong said without their vote of confidence and support, the Bank\u2019s continued success would not have been possible.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would like to once again extend my deepest appreciation to you for your continual trust and faith. You are all like OCBC\u2019s diamonds and, diamonds are forever,\u201d Ong quipped, evoking the famous Bond line.<\/p>\n
Guests were treated to a delectable feast specially curated to tantalise their taste buds. Topping off a night of exciting entertainment were the strong vocals of popular home-bred singer Ms Vanessa Tan whose audiences have in the past included, among others, Mel Gibson, Lee Sinje and Mr & Mrs Tony Blair. The multi-talented artiste masterfully belted out popular James Bond hits such as Skyfall and Writing On The Wall with her raspy, soulful voice.<\/p>\n
After a spellbinding Broadway performance by Rhythmhitz, Vanessa and her talented band kicked into high gear and revved up the evening with an energetic and infectious performance. The celebrations continued deep into the night as guests stayed on to savour every moment of the evening as the dance floor opened for them to groove the night away in true Bond fashion, as though tomorrow never dies.<\/p>\n
