{"id":2211,"date":"2026-01-20T17:44:15","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T17:44:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/malaysian-business.com\/wptest\/2026\/01\/20\/ifctf-making-its-10th-comeback\/"},"modified":"2026-01-23T18:01:44","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T18:01:44","slug":"ifctf-making-its-10th-comeback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/malaysian-business.com\/portal\/2026\/01\/20\/ifctf-making-its-10th-comeback\/","title":{"rendered":"IFCTF Making Its 10th Comeback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 10th International Conference on Financial Crime and Terrorism Financing (IFCTF) will reveal the latest trends and how best to combat it through robust compliance procedures.<\/p>\n<p>The conference, which will be held on October 30 and 31 in Kuala Lumpur with the theme \u201cThe Rising Voice of Compliance \u2013 Towards Greater Governance and Transparency\u201d, will explore topics on current events and new trends in these areas and practicable approaches within the realm of compliance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe success of the IFCTF is made possible with the commitment of our sponsors every year, for the last 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd for this 10th IFCTF, we have lined up excellent speakers and subject matter experts from around the globe to share their views and thoughts on combating financial crime and terrorism financing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am happy to inform that we have secured over 90% participation, with over 800 delegates attending,\u201d said IFCTF and the Compliance Officers\u2019 Networking Group (CONG) organising chairman V Maslamani.<\/p>\n<p>Asian Institute of Finance (AIF) director of operations Rajam Sega said since its inception in 2009, they have had over 7000 delegates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis time we anticipate 1000 or more senior compliance professionals to be joining us from regional and global banks as well as other financial institutions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>IFCTF is jointly organised by AIF and CONG and fully supported by Bank Negara Malaysia and Securities Commission Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>Datuk Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus, Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia will deliver her keynote address on \u201cReshaping Malaysia&#8217;s Future \u2013 Setting the goal for greater governance and transparency\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Other speakers at the conference include senior representatives from both domestic and international agencies as well as private sector experts, covering compliance measures for terrorism financing, cryptocurrencies, cyber security as well as the menace of the Dark and Deep web.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers from BNM, Royal Malaysia Police, CyberSecurity Malaysia, FBI, U.S. Department of Justice and the Malaysian Anti\u2013Corruption Commission, as well as a range of major financial organisations and industry suppliers will participate over the two-day conference.
