Sdn. Bhd.<\/p>\n<p>The equity round was raised at ten times Commerce.asia\u2019s initial entry valuation. Commerce.asia also joined in this second round of funding to maintain its strategic interest in Kumoten. Kumoten grew 180 per cent in 2018 and was accelerated by Commerce.asia\u2019s GrowthX Market Acceleration Program which Commerce.asia licensed from the Silicon Valley.<\/p>\n<p>Kumoten is an existing Malaysian eCommerce enabler based in Puchong. Kumoten\u2019s proprietary automated dropshipping platform enables users to start selling on major online shopping marketplaces like Lazada and Shopee without buying or keeping stocks.<\/p>\n<p>The integration with Lazada, Shopee, Lelong.my and 11street coupled with more than 100,000 SKUs in Kumoten\u2019s catalogue allows users to easily select and sync products to their online stores in these marketplaces.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have seen amazing growth in Kumoten since the company first started operations in June 2014. Today, it is acknowledged as Malaysia\u2019s largest home-grown dropshipping platform with more than 100,000 products in the catalogue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an integral part of the Commerce.asia ecosystem, Kumoten enjoys synergies with Commerce.asia\u2019s other investments within the omnichannel commerce space, where each investee company can leverage on each other\u2019s expertise and cross-marketing to grow their respective businesses,\u201d said Commerce.asia founder and executive chairman, Ganesh Kumar Bangah.<\/p>\n<p>Besides making strategic investments in various start-ups, Commerce.asia provides strategic advice, hands-on guidance and mentorship for all its investee companies.<\/p>\n<p>Commerce.asia combines the technologies of its investees to provide SMEs, Brands and micro-entrepreneurs with end-to-end omnichannel commerce solutions that integrate the best of technology from various technology enablers.<\/p>\n<p>Cradle Group chief investment officer, Juliana Jan said, \u201cHow Asian consumers shop is changing dramatically.
