Malaysia\u2019s technological hub, Cyberview Sdn Bhd. has released a commentary on the National Budget 2019 that covered the Industry 4.0 and Malaysia as a Technology Hub.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are delighted that the 2019 budget announcement focuses on reinstating Malaysia\u2019s economic position as \u2018Harimau Asia\u2019 through strategic initiatives and allocations that contribute to cultivating the country\u2019s entrepreneurial culture and ensuring the well-being of Malaysians alike. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is encouraging to hear the government\u2019s recognition for an improved collaborative ecosystem for a sustainable and dynamic digital economy. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAt Cyberview, our mandate to transform Cyberjaya and its communities into an innovation-based economic hub is similarly based on an ecosystem built on collaborative innovation, that is necessary in leading the best solutions and practices in the industry,\u201d said Cyberview Sdn Bhd managing director, Mohd Najib Ibrahim.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/b>We welcome the government\u2019s plans to unleash the power of a new economy in Malaysia through the National Policy on Industry 4.0 (Industry4WRD) and fund allocations to accelerate the growth of the manufacturing industry. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are also thrilled with the allocation of RM3 billion on the Industry Digitalisation Transformation Fund through the Malaysian Development Bank (BPMP) that can make a big difference to the development of robotics and AI in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCyberview recognises the potential of Industry 4.0 in Malaysia, which is why we encourage startups from the robotics and AI fields, especially those at the precipice of commercialisation, to participate in our Cyberview Living Lab Accelerator programme,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is no secret that robotics is a focal area of technology for innovation leaders in the manufacturing industry. In fact, the global industrial robotics space is estimated at USD25.6 billion in 2013 and expected to reach a whopping USD40 billion by 2020. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe pursuit to greater economic productivity requires startups and entrepreneurs to develop valuable, futuristic products and solutions through disruptive technology enablers. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt also requires converging innovators from all walks of life to deliver strategic creation and commercialisation of IPs and in line with this goal, we will be launching our Futurise Centre in early 2019, aimed at helping startups and entrepreneurs to future-proof industries, reinvent business models and rethink solution innovation\u201d he added. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Digital Economy continues to be a key driver of growth, it hinges on several key imperatives, including conducive ecosystems and a holistic infrastructure. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are confident that the allocation of RM1 billion to the National Fibre Connectivity Plan to develop the country’s broadband infrastructure, will allow for higher adoption of disruptive technologies among businesses in Cyberjaya as well as the rest of the country. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCyberjaya\u2019s rise as a model smart city is in line with the nation\u2019s goal of growing the country\u2019s digital economy,\u201d commented Mohd Najib when touching on Malaysia as a global technology hub.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe that these strategic efforts and fund allocations by the government will support our initiatives at Cyberview in increasing Cyberjaya\u2019s operational efficiency, improving the quality of life for the people of the city and contributing to Malaysia\u2019s economy,\u201d he concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n
