Singapore in the next 3-6 months. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First launched in 2012, HealthifyMe now has over 8 million users worldwide offering highly localised calorie tracking with over 55,000 foods as well as water consumption, weight, steps and activity tracking complemented by automated and real-time insights. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company launched its services in Malaysia in October and has already attracted over 15,000 subscribers with more than 25 local coaches, trainers and experts. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe have always seen ourselves as a global product company and have built our app in line with global standards of quality and excellence. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOur numbers reflect this global ambition, with more than 10 per cent of our 8 million user base, 10 per cent of our coaches &amp; 20 per cent of our overall revenues are already coming from International geographies,\u201d said HealthifyMe co-founder and chief executive officer, Tushar Vashisht<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">when speaking at HealthifyMe\u2019s annual showcase event, Ignite.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe have chosen to begin our foray into Southeast Asia due to the high penetration of smartphones and to fill the need for quality health &amp; fitness solutions in the region.\u00a0 <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe believe Malaysia is a representative microcosm of the entire region and a great place to start, personally, I love Malaysia\u2019s cultural nuances and we are excited to bring our unique approach to Malaysia\u2019s shores, offering a highly localised and curated experience to users there, with the same level of depth in terms of food library, quality of coaches and technology support, that our global users enjoy\u201d, he added. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HealthifyMe has already seen some promising traction in Southeast Asia with over 46,000 subscribers joining the platform in the last month and 1.3 million food &amp; water logs being tracked. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The app possesses a library of over 900 Southeast Asian cuisines with accurate protein, fibre, carbohydrate and calorie mapping, the company has also hired a team of local nutritionist and fitness coaches who will develop personalised diet &amp; fitness plans for its Southeast Asian users.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;I am excited to be a part of this global company that is on a mission to Healthify the world and with Malaysian\u2019s becoming increasingly conscious about health and fitness, HealthifyMe\u2019s entry is both exciting and timely,\u201d said HealthifyMe Malaysia head of Operations, Alexandra Prabaharan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HealthifyMe also announced it had raised a further US$6 million as an extension to its US$12 million Series B round earlier this year from existing investors and InnoVen Capital (a Temasek backed entity) to fund the regional expansion as well as other new features and initiatives. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HealthifyMe already has the world\u2019s first artificial intelligence powered virtual nutritionist \u2018Ria\u2019, \u201cshe\u201d provides personalised diet and fitness advice to its global users and complements the services provided by its elite pool of human coaches. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company unveiled an upgraded version of \u2018Ria\u2019, the \u2018Ria 2.0\u2019, \u201cshe\u201d can now not only listen and read, but also see and identify healthy and unhealthy foods from menu cards, phone screens and entire plates of food.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018Ria 2.0\u2019 will power HealthifyMe\u2019s smart diet plans which represent the world\u2019s first completely automated and curated diet plans, Ria 2.0 will be made available to Malaysian users in the coming months. \u00a0 <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HealthifyMe is available to download from app stores and through the app\u2019s premium plans which begin at RM149 per month, HealthifyMe also offers on-the-cloud fitness coaching with 24x7access to a team of certified diet, fitness and yoga coaches that will provide personalised diet and workout plans.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HealthifyMe, one of the world\u2019s leading health and fitness apps, announced bold expansion plans that will see them venture into the Southeast Asian region, beginning with a foray into Malaysia followed by Indonesia &amp;
