Open to The Public"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DuitNow, the service that allows bank customers to transfer money instantly and securely using the recipient\u2019s mobile phone number, is now available to the public at the Internet and\/or mobile banking channels of the following banks:<\/p>\n<p>1. Ambank (M) Berhad<br \/>2. Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad<br \/>3. Bank of China (Malaysia) Berhad<br \/>4. BNP Paribas Malaysia Berhad<br \/>5. CIMB Bank Berhad<br \/>6. Citibank Berhad<br \/>7. Hong Leong Bank Berhad<br \/>8. HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad<br \/>9. Malayan Banking Berhad<br \/>10. OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad<br \/>11. Public Bank Berhad<br \/>12. RHB Bank Berhad<br \/>13. Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad<br \/>14. United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Berhad<\/p>\n<p>An additional 17 banks and non-banks will soon launch the DuitNow service as well.<\/p>\n<p>Customers wishing to receive DuitNow fund transfers using their mobile number need only perform a simple one-time registration to link their mobile number with their account number at their bank. Customers may also link their MyKad or MyPR Identity Card numbers, Army or Police numbers, Passport numbers or Business Registration numbers to their bank accounts in order to receive money. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is extremely heartening that millions of Malaysians have already registered for DuitNow to receive funds using their mobile number and MyKad numbers\u201d said Mr Peter Schiesser, the Group Chief Executive Officer of PayNet, the operator of DuitNow.<\/p>\n<p>Bank customers can now view, modify or transfer their DuitNow registrations via 14 bank\u2019s Internet or Mobile Banking channels. To ensure customer convenience, banks in Malaysia collaborated so that customers can view their registrations across all banks by visiting the Internet or Mobile banking of any one of their banks.<\/p>\n<p>Making fund transfers up to RM5,000 is free for consumers and SMEs, and customers can make transfer by accessing the DuitNow tab under the \u2018Funds Transfer\u2019 menu of their respective banks\u2019 Internet or Mobile banking channels. Some banks are also waiving DuitNow transaction fees for fund transfers above RM5,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuitNow is the first phase of a multi-year effort by the banking industry to modernise Malaysia\u2019s retail payments infrastructure, ensuring a cost-effective, agile and flexible platform that supports innovative and new e-payment products that deliver a superior customer proposition\u201d added Mr Schiesser.<\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with DuitNow\u2019s launch, there will be a nationwide contest with attractive prizes worth in total millions of Ringgit for bank customers who have registered to receive funds via DuitNow starting 8 January 2018.
