{"id":2446,"date":"2026-01-20T17:45:58","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T17:45:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/malaysian-business.com\/wptest\/2026\/01\/20\/pnb-announces-retirement-of-group-coo-names-new-cio\/"},"modified":"2026-01-23T18:00:35","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T18:00:35","slug":"pnb-announces-retirement-of-group-coo-names-new-cio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/malaysian-business.com\/portal\/2026\/01\/20\/pnb-announces-retirement-of-group-coo-names-new-cio\/","title":{"rendered":"PNB Announces Retirement of Group COO, Names New CIO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) announces the retirement of its deputy president and Group chief operating officer (COO), Asset Management, Datuk Idris Kechot, effective December 31 2018. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Datuk Idris has been with the PNB Group, including with Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), a wholly owned unit trust management company of PNB, for more than 34 years<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDatuk Idris has been a long standing and valuable member of PNB\u2019s senior management team. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOn behalf of the Board of Directors, Management and staff of PNB, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Datuk Idris for his tremendous contribution to the PNB Group,\u201d said PNB Group chairman, Tan Seri Dr. Zeti Aziz. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the departure of Datuk Idris, PNB announced the appointment of Hanizan Hood as chief investment officer (CIO), effective January 1. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In her new role, Hanizan assumes leadership of the day-to-day oversight of all the operating units within the Asset Management Division, namely Fund Management, Strategic Asset Allocation, Equity Market Operations, Fixed Income, Investment Analysis and Economics Departments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hanizan started out as a graduate trainee with PNB in 1996 and over her 22-year career, she has served in various capacities in the areas of Equity Research, Money Market, Fixed Income and Portfolio Management. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An Economics graduate from Northwestern University, US, Hanizan also holds the Capital Markets Services Representative\u2019s Licence and recently completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) announces the retirement of its deputy president and Group chief operating officer (COO), Asset Management, Datuk Idris Kechot, effective December 31 2018.
