Kuala Lumpur, March 17 \u2013 AIA Bhd, announced yesterday the launch of Malaysia\u2019s Healthiest Workplace by AIA Vitality, a comprehensive survey on the health and wellbeing of employees in Malaysia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Conducted by RAND Europe, with counsel from preeminent academic institutions from around the region, Malaysia\u2019s Healthiest Workplace by AIA Vitality will survey a broad range of organisations and their workforces. The aim of the survey is to analyse workplace health trends and recognise the efforts made by employers to promote workplace health.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Survey will identify Malaysia\u2019s Healthiest Employer, Healthiest Employees and Healthiest Workplace across a range of organisation size categories. A similar survey will also be carried out across Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore where AIA has a presence, and all winning organisations will be judged against their peers to find the overall Survey winners.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Anusha Thavarajah, Chief Executive Officer of AIA said: \u201cAIA is committed to helping Malaysians live longer, healthier and better lives. Given that much of our time is spent at work, it\u2019s important that we understand, measure and improve our health and wellbeing, even in our workplace.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are delighted to launch Malaysia\u2019s Healthiest Workplace by AIA Vitality – the first science-backed workplace survey because we believe that promoting employee health and wellbeing is of critical importance to all organisations, regardless of their size. It is a fact that investing in the health and wellbeing of employees can save both the public sector and private companies billions of dollars every year.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the long-term, the benefits to organisations are twofold: they will improve their business performance by boosting the engagement and productivity of their workforces, and they will increase their attractiveness as an employer to top talent in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n
There are two parts to Malaysia\u2019s Healthiest Workplace by AIA Vitality \u2013 the Employer (Organisational) Health Survey, to be filled by an authorised representative of the workplace, and the Employee Health Survey, which will be completed by the individual employees on a voluntary basis.<\/p>\n
The Survey will examine data on employee lifestyle, clinical indicators, mental health, stress factors and other areas of concern with the objective of assessing the associated impact on health and productivity.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Participating organisations will receive a comprehensive report outlining the overall health of the organisation; how they fare against other employers; and practical recommendations to improve health and productivity at the workplace. Employees who complete the survey will receive a personal health report.<\/p>\n
Anusha added, \u201cWe hope that the findings and recommendations from this inaugural Malaysia\u2019s Healthiest Workplace by AIA Vitality initiative will give employers useful insights so they can improve or initiate health promotion strategies and plans to create a healthier and more productive environment for their people.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Malaysia\u2019s Healthiest Workplace by AIA Vitality is free to enter at healthiestworkplace.aia.com. The Survey is open for registration between 15 March and 15 May 2017. Winners will be announced at a later date in 2017.<\/p>\n
