Three major airline companies and Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) have agreed to come together with the Ministry of Primary Industries to promote Malaysian palm oil and provide a further boost to the ministry-initiated \u201cLove MY Palm Oil\u201d campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

The four players, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), Malaysia Airlines Bhd, Malindo Airways Sdn Bhd and AirAsia Bhd, have expressed this during \u00a0meetings with minister of Primary Industries, Teresa Kok when she met them to inform about her aspirations and plans to promote palm oil.<\/span><\/p>\n

The airlines and MAHB have thrown their support behind the \u201cLove MY Palm Oil\u201dcampaign and will also spread the message to foreign visitors through various channels.<\/span><\/p>\n

They will carry the messaging through their digital info screens, in-flight magazines and entertainment systems, art and product displays.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am glad that MAHB and the airlines have displayed their patriotism by supporting our campaign to further elevate the image of palm oil. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTheir efforts will also help us counter misperceptions on palm oil created by the aggressive anti-palm oil campaigns.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI hope many more industry players will come forward and join us in this cause to protect our nation\u2019s largest commodity that has been the source of livelihood and jobs for three million people in Malaysia,\u201d said Teresa Kok.<\/span><\/p>\n

Present were MAHB acting group chief executive officer, Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin; Malaysia Airlines Group chief executive officer, Izham Ismail; Malindo chief executive officer, Chandran Rama Murthy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Love MY Palm Oil campaign will be carried out throughout the year with an aim to instill national pride and greater appreciation for Malaysian palm oil, focusing on socioeconomic, health, nutrition, food and non-food applications. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
