The family of compact cars from Mercedes-Benz Malaysia continues to grow, and the new A-Class is the seventh model which further compliments the range of compact cars from the brand.<\/span><\/p>\n

Available in two variants, A 200 Progressive Line and A 250 AMG Line, these two dynamic compact limousines are the latest additions to the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia product portfolio. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“A first for Mercedes-Benz, the combination of a limousine paired with the progressive, cutting-edge design of a compact car.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt embodies the next step on the revolutionary journey into the digital future of the automobile world,” said Mercedes-Benz Malaysia vice president, Sales & Marketing, Mark Raine.<\/span><\/p>\n

That includes above-average shoulder, elbow and headroom plus easy access to the rear. It is at the top of its segment with regard to rear headroom (944 mm). <\/span><\/p>\n

The boot has a capacity of 420 litres and was designed for practical usability with as its opening is very large with a width of 950 mm and a diagonal of 462 mm between lock and lower edge of the rear window which allows comfortable loading and unloading, even of larger luggage items.<\/span><\/p>\n

The engine portfolio of the A-Class Limousine is efficient and powerful, with A 200 Progressive Line running on a 1.4 litre engine generating 163 hp\/250 Nm while the A 250 AMG Line on a 2.0 litre engine, generating greater performance of 224 hp\/350 Nm.<\/span><\/p>\n

With a frontal area of 2.19 m\u00b2, smaller than that of the CLA, the new A-Class Limousine has the lowest aerodynamic drag of all production vehicles worldwide. <\/span><\/p>\n

The new A-Class is the first Mercedes-Benz model to feature the completely new MBUX – Mercedes-Benz User Experience multimedia system, which also ushers in a new era for Mercedes me connectivity at the same time. <\/span><\/p>\n

Standard features include the MBUX infotainment system with touchscreen, and driving assistance systems of the latest generation such as Active Brake Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist.<\/span><\/p>\n

The KEYLESS-GO Convenience Package with HANDS-FREE ACCESS will be one of the available options, for example. <\/span><\/p>\n

The A-Class has the very latest driving assistance systems with cooperative driver support, and thus provides the highest level of active safety in this segment with functions adopted from the S-Class. <\/span><\/p>\n

For the first time, the A-Class is able to drive semi-autonomously in certain situations by keeping a close eye on the traffic situation using an improved camera and radar systems allowing it to see up to 500\u00a0metres ahead. <\/span><\/p>\n

The A-Class also uses map and navigation data for assistance functions.<\/span><\/p>\n

At a glance the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine A 200 Progressive Line comes with L4 cylinder arrangement, 1,332 displacement (cc), 120 (163)\/5500 rated output (kW\/hp at rpm), 250\/1620 rated torque (Nm at rpm), 8.1 Acceleration 0-100km\/h (s), 230 top speed (km\/h) and priced at RM 229,888 (OTR without insurance).<\/span><\/p>\n

The A 250 AMG Line comes with L4 cylinder arrangement, 1,991 displacement (cc), 165 (224)\/5500 rated output (kW\/hp at rpm), 350\/1800 rated torque (Nm at rpm), 6.3 Acceleration 0-100km\/h (s), 250 top speed (km\/h) and priced at RM 267,888 (OTR without insurance).<\/span><\/p>\n
