{"id":2641,"date":"2026-01-20T17:46:31","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T17:46:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/malaysian-business.com\/wptest\/2026\/01\/20\/grabfood-moves-back-home-to-grab\/"},"modified":"2026-01-23T17:55:02","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T17:55:02","slug":"grabfood-moves-back-home-to-grab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/malaysian-business.com\/portal\/2026\/01\/20\/grabfood-moves-back-home-to-grab\/","title":{"rendered":"GrabFood Moves Back Home to Grab"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grab announced that Malaysia\u2019s fastest growing food delivery service, GrabFood, will be \u2018moving back home\u2019 to Grab, the Everyday Super App. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This move will see a more convenient app experience for partner restaurants and delivery partners whilst GrabFood customers no longer need to have a separate app.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This milestone which is timely with GrabFood\u2019s first anniversary of delivering Malaysia&#8217;s local and favourite delicacies right into the hands of food lovers, further strengthens Grab\u2019s position as Southeast Asia\u2019s leading everyday super app.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe early days of GrabFood was challenging, but we embraced the challenges and lessons learnt. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cTogether with our partner restaurants, we organised uniquely localised campaigns like the People\u2019s Pick, BubbleTeatime and BokBokBokBuster that was aimed at delighting GrabFood customers with their favourite food, and soon, earned our way to Malaysians\u2019 hearts. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSince our launch last year, our orders have been steadily growing by 30 per cent on a monthly basis, and to-date we have completed more than two million deliveries,\u201d said Grab Malaysia country head, Sean Goh.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis is a testament that our food delivery service has undoubtedly provided another layer of convenience to our customer\u2019s everyday experience. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cTherefore, the move to integrate the GrabFood app with the Grab app will bring more value and opportunities to all who are part of GrabFood\u2019s ecosystem,\u201d added Sean.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sean shared that this move will have a positive three-prong effect on customers, partner restaurants and riders alike, offering an overall intuitive app experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Firstly, customers will be spoilt for choice with more food options as since launch, the number of GrabFood partner restaurants have grown from a modest hundreds over to thousands of customers\u2019 favourite restaurants and adding to the excitement, GrabFood also welcomed other exclusive partners such as Village Park Restaurant, Humble Chef, Murni Discovery, Salad Atelier, Texas Chicken and more to its continuously growing stable of restaurants on the app.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other benefits customers will enjoy are; being able to instantly check out the latest promotions and featured restaurants on the GrabFood homescreen; Access to key information relating to restaurants upfront, such as closing times, ratings by other fellow customers and distance from the restaurants;
