KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA \u2013 18 June 2019 \u2013 <\/strong>Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery (BNM MAG) has launched the \u2018Technology in Finance: Bricks to Clicks\u2019 exhibition at Level 1, Sasana Kijang. This exhibition will showcase the ways advancement in technology have changed the financial services industry and how that in turn is affecting our daily lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u2018Technology in Finance\u2019 exhibition is an initiative in line with the Bank\u2019s emerging role in supporting innovation to improve the quality, efficiency and accessibility of financial services in Malaysia. During the launch, Assistant Governor Adnan Zaylani Mohamad Zahid said, \u201cThe term Fintech is now commonly heard, and its use is no longer limited to people working in technology and finance. Although the fruits we see today as a result of Fintech development are only just the beginning, technological innovation in finance contrary to popular belief, is not a new phenomenon.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Assistant Governor Adnan Zaylani added, \u201cThe Bank is committed in sustainably developing and promoting the use of technology to enhance the productivity, efficiency, and quality of the financial industry so that it is better able to serve our communities. Through this exhibition, we hope to instil confidence and embolden support and participation among the public on Fintech infrastructures which are still unfamiliar to many.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Introduced to complement the larger mission of bridging the knowledge gap between Fintech industry practitioners and the public, the exhibition features various exhibits that showcase the evolution of Fintech in Malaysia. Visitors can also look forward to a Mini Innovation Lab, where everyone can share ideas and develop a wish list on how technology can improve everyday lives by making it more comfortable and efficient.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition is open for public from 17 June to 31 December at Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery. Admission is free for everyone. Guided tours are available for groups of more than 20 participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Museum Shop will offer various merchandise from the \u2018Technology in Finance: Bricks to Clicks\u2019 exhibition. There will also be a line-up of talks and Curator Tours for all age groups to educate the public on Fintech.<\/span><\/p>\n
