Kuala Lumpur, March 24 – Babydash, a Malaysian online baby store, has broken new ground in the Malaysian equity crowdfunding industry. As of yesterday, 64 investors have invested RM590,400 into their equity fundraising campaign which is live on the pitchIN equity crowdfunding platform.<\/p>\n
This figure beats the previous record of 63 investors set by Kakitangan.com in September 2016. The Kakitangan.com campaign was also run by pitchIN.<\/p>\n
With eight days to go before the campaign ends at the end of March, Babydash is likely to attract even more investors.<\/p>\n
Sam Shafie, the CEO of pitchIN says that they were always confident that Babydash would be well received by investors. \u201cWe are delighted with their success.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cBabydash is notable because the company is led by women. Co-founders Lavinie Thiruchelvam and Tay Shan Li have proven to be excellent at running Babydash. Investors obviously believe that they can take the company to new heights, as evidenced by the number of investors who have invested in Babydash.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Babydash equity crowdfunding campaign crossed its minimum target of RM200,000 days into the campaign. Since then investors have been steadily coming on board.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Babydash is still taking in investments up to its maximum funding target of RM2 million. The minimum investment amount for Babydash is RM1600, which allows just about anyone to become a shareholder of this fast growing ecommerce company.<\/p>\n
