To commemorate this milestone, McDonald\u2019s Malaysia is launching the limited edition Surprise Happy Meal, featuring some of the most popular Happy Meal toys from the last four decades. The Surprise Happy Meal will be available at McDonalds restaurants nationwide starting 28 November, while stocks last.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to bring Malaysians on this walk down memory lane with some of our most iconic Happy Meal toys series from the past such as Beanie Babies and Tamagotchi. Both children and adults alike will enjoy this throwback to the toys from the 1980s and 1990s, which is sure to bring back a sense of nostalgia, especially for customers who grew up enjoying Happy Meal,\u201d said Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald\u2019s Malaysia, Melati Abdul Hai.<\/p>\n<p>Since it was first introduced as a Circus Wagon Happy Meal in June 1979 in the U.S., the Happy Meal global footprint has expanded to more than 38,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries around the globe \u2013 with the iconic toy still a beloved staple \u2013 serving as a symbol of surprise, playfulness and fun.<\/p>\n<p>Each Surprise Happy Meal will contain one of the following limited edition toys, which customers have had the strongest connection to over the years:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cowboy McNugget (McDonald\u2019s): 1988<\/li>\n<li>Fireman McNugget (McDonald\u2019s): 1988<\/li>\n<li>Mail Carrier McNugget (McDonald\u2019s): 1988<\/li>\n<li>Hamburger Changeable (McDonald\u2019s): 1989<\/li>\n<li>Grimace (McDonald\u2019s): 1990<\/li>\n<li>Dino Happy Meal Box Changeable (McDonald\u2019s): 1991<\/li>\n<li>McDonald\u2019s Hot Wheels Thunderbird (Mattel): 1993<\/li>\n<li>Hamburglar (McDonald\u2019s): 1995<\/li>\n<li>Space Jam Bugs Bunny (Warner Brothers): 1996<\/li>\n<li>Patti the Platypus (Ty Beanie Baby): 1997<\/li>\n<li>Tamagotchi (Bandai): 1998<\/li>\n<li>My Little Pony (Hasbro): 1998<\/li>\n<li>Furby (Hasbro): 1999<\/li>\n<li>Hello Kitty (Sanrio): 2013<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnboxing a Happy Meal has always been a family affair, and it creates a special bonding time for parents and their kids.
