Putrajaya, March 30 – Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd (PAMB) recently announced its sponsorship of the 29th SEA Games and the 9th Para ASEAN Games, otherwise known as Kuala Lumpur 2017 (KL2017) at a press event in Putrajaya, together with the Malaysia Organising Committee (MASOC).\u00a0<\/p>\n
The sponsorship announcement was officiated by Gan Leong Hin, Chief Executive Officer of PAMB and Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong, Chief Executive Officer of MASOC, witnessed by Brigadier General Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Youth and Sports, who is also the chairman of MASOC, and Khoo Ai Lin, Chief Marketing Officer of PAMB.<\/p>\n
Speaking to media at the event, Gan said the company recognises the importance of supporting the nation\u2019s dream and igniting the feeling of pride among the athletes and their families. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Giving back to the Malaysian community who has supported us for more than 93 years has always been a commitment for Prudential. And what better way for us to give back than by supporting the SEA Games which is being hosted by Malaysia after 16 years. We want to champion the dreams of these athletes and celebrate the accomplishment and joy of these dream achievers together with their families. We are the proud supporter of dreams.\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As the official insurance partner, PAMB will also be providing insurance coverage for all 13,000 volunteers of KL2017.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the sponsorship agreement, Khairy said \u201cWe are excited to have Prudential on board with us and we are very excited to work together. They bring a new element of encouragement and championing of dreams to the SEA Games which will be a positive message for us all as we host the KL2017. To be known as \u2018KL 2017\u2019, the 29th SEA Games will run from Aug 19-31, in conjunction with the 60th independence anniversary of Malaysia while the 9th ASEAN Para Games will be staged from Sept 17-23. The Kuala Lumpur 2017 Games will feature 38 sports and 405 events in various venues in Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan and Langkawi while the ASEAN Para Games will have 16 contested sports.\u00a0<\/p>\n
