Kuala Lumpur, April 18 \u00a0\u2013 Integrated engineering solutions provider, Kelington Group Bhd\u2019s wholly-owned subsidiary, Kelington Engineering (S) Pte Ltd has secured a new contract amounting to SGD 7.67 million (equivalent to RM24.2 million) for the engineering design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of process piping system for Givaudan Singapore Pte Ltd, one of the world\u2019s largest global manufacturer of flavor, fragrances and active cosmetic ingredients.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ir. Raymond Gan, Chief Executive Officer of Kelington said, \u201cWe are very pleased to have secured this contract as we succeed at expanding our client network to include global MNCs beyond the electronics sector. This project will contribute to our capabilities and track record in handling process engineering contracts, which is a segment that we aim to grow.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cLast year, the process engineering segment only contributed 6% to the Group\u2019s total revenue. Moving forward, we aim to grow this segment to contribute 30% of our total revenue within the next three to five years.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
The contract is expected to be completed by December 2017 and will positively contribute to the Group\u2019s financial performance in this financial year ended 31 December 2017.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Inclusive of this contract, the Group has secured a total of RM100.3 million worth of new orders since the start of the year. Kelington\u2019s current outstanding orderbook now stands at RM263.5 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n
