Kelana Jaya, April 26 \u2013 Leading eye specialist Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital (THONEH) recently signed a collaborative agreement with Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA) as part of its effort to extend its services to ANGKASA members who will now be able to enjoy substantial benefits and services whenever they visit the renowned eye hospital.<\/p>\n
As outlined in the terms of the two-year memorandum, each member of the organisation will be given a free THONEH-ANGKASA loyalty card entitling them to special privileges for certain services provided by the hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a first for us and we are grateful for this opportunity to work with the umbrella body representing the majority of the nation\u2019s cooperatives. We certainly look forward to serving ANGKASA members who come over for treatment or a check-up,\u201d said Zaki Mohd Zakaria, Chief Executive Officer of THES Capital Sdn. Bhd., which is a subsidiary of THONEH.<\/p>\n
The loyalty card is the first of its kind in Malaysia, and will benefit ANGKASA\u2019s eight million strong membership, as well as encouraging them to go for regular eye check-ups. It is also in line with THONEH\u2019s mission to educate Malaysians on the importance of eye care, in addition to providing quality and affordable eye healthcare for all Malaysians.<\/p>\n
Cardholder privileges include cash rebates, registration fee waiver for services above RM300 (per patient in a single payment transaction), as well as a minimum discount of 8% with possible additional discounts from time to time.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And to ensure that the hospital visit will be a pleasant experience, THONEH will provide them with a priority lane and free parking for the 1st hour if they park within the hospital compound. The hospital will also hold bi-annual lucky draws with attractive prizes as a further benefit for cardholders.<\/p>\n
MyAngkasa Holdings Sdn. Bhd. Director Datuk Paduka Hanapi Suliman, who signed the Memorandum of Collaboration on behalf of ANGKASA, said \u201cOur members are our greatest asset and this is a way of demonstrating their importance to us, and to show them that we care about their wellbeing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Present at the event was THONEH Deputy General Manager. Esotha Krishnamoorthy and ANGKASA President Datuk Abdul Fattah Abdullah, who also officially unveiled the loyalty card.<\/p>\n
