Raya shopping experience was redefined for orphans and single mothers from Asrama Anak-anak Yatim Damai, Kuang or better known as Asrama Damai Kuang, when Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad (CGC) treated them with shopping spree at Mydin Hypermarket in USJ, Subang Jaya, Selangor.\u00a0<\/p>\n
They were then treated with Buka Puasa at TH Hotel Kelana Jaya, Selangor.<\/p>\n
The \u2019Majlis Berbuka Puasa\u2019 is an annual event hosted by CGC in the month of Ramadhan to foster closer relationship and strengthen ties among deserving segment of our community and CGC.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am glad to be here among our children, not only from the Asrama Damai Kuang, but also the children of our staff to Buka Puasa and together we hope to reap the \u2018barakah\u2019 that the holy month of Ramadhan brings. Ramadhan, paves the way for us to look into ourselves and be grateful for the plentiful \u2018nikmat\u2019 that has been bestowed upon us, while at the same time, not forgetting those who are in need,\u201d said CGC\u2019s President\/CEO Datuk Mohd Zamree Mohd Ishak during CGC\u2019s \u2018Majlis Berbuka Puasa\u2019 on Friday.<\/p>\n
Championing the spirit of sharing, CGC has also extended RM5,000 in financial support to Asrama Damai Kuang, to ease the daily expenditure incurred in operating the orphanage.<\/p>\n
In addition, the orphans and single mothers were presented with \u2018duit raya\u2019 and door gifts by CGC Chairman Dato\u2019 Agil Natt, CGC Board of Directors and Zamree.\u00a0<\/p>\n
CGC also provided \u2018duit raya\u2019 for children of CGC staff, as a way of spreading its care and appreciation to its employees on this auspicious month of Ramadhan.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis event is made possible with the involvement of all of us in CGC. It is a memorable event as we are able to contribute to our community especially those who are less fortunate,\u201d added Zamree.<\/p>\n
