PETALING JAYA, 10 February 2026 \u2013 The Board of Directors of CelcomDigi Berhad
(\u201cCelcomDigi\u201d) announced today that it has appointed Albern Murty as Chief Executive Officer
(\u201cCEO\u201d) of the Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Board of CelcomDigi is pleased to confirm the appointment of Albern as CEO. This
appointment comes following the conclusion of an extensive search process for the next CEO
of CelcomDigi, considering both internal and external candidates to ensure the strongest
possible leadership to guide the company into its next chapter. The Board looks forward to
working closely with him and the rest of the management team to execute CelcomDigi\u2019s
strategic ambitions, drive future growth as Malaysia\u2019s trusted connectivity partner, strengthen
corporate governance, and continue building an organisation that is among the best places to
work in Malaysia,\u201d said YM Tengku Dato\u2019 Sri Azmil Zahruddin bin Raja Abdul Aziz, Chair of the
Board of Directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Albern has been part of leading the management team through the foundational years of
integration following the merger of Celcom and Digi on 30 November 2022 as Deputy CEO
and currently as Acting CEO. He brings over 22 years of leadership experience in the
telecommunications industry, including seven years as CEO of Digi.Com Berhad (\u201cDigi\u201d). He
has also helmed previous roles in Digi including as Chief Operating Officer and Chief
Marketing Officer, and as Executive Vice President and Head of Emerging Asia for Telenor
Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senior leadership changes to drive strategy execution
As part of the company\u2019s management reorganisation, it has appointed Datuk Kamal Khalid as
Chief Strategy, Transformation and Regulatory Officer. Working closely with Albern, Datuk
Kamal will drive the company\u2019s strategic, transformative, and efficiency initiatives, as well as
engaging with stakeholders and industry to deliver these ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
