Penang marked a significant milestone in sustainable development today with the official launch of
the Kampung Valdor Animal Waste Biogas Facility, officiated by Yang Amat Berhormat Chow Kon
Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dignitaries that attended included Yang Berhormat Datuk Chan Foong Hin, Deputy Minister of
Plantation and Commodities; Yang Berhormat Fahmi bin Zainol, State Exco for Agrotechnology and
Food Security and Cooperative Development; other State Exco; and Members of the Penang State
Legislative Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Developed by Timeless Green Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with Minconsult Sdn Bhd, the facility
represents a decisive step forward in addressing livestock waste management through engineered,
regulator-approved solutions that protect communities while advancing clean energy generation.
Located in Kampung Valdor, South Seberang Perai, the project tackles long-standing environmental
challenges associated with concentrated livestock activities. The initial phase integrates 30 farms into
a centralised, professionally managed treatment system designed to meet stringent environmental
and operational standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dato\u2019 Dr Ir Dennis Ganendra, Group Managing Director of Minconsult and Founder of Timeless Green,
said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKampung Valdor reflects years of work in developing systems that are environmentally responsible,
technically sound, and operationally sustainable. While the concept is scalable, successful
implementation requires the right expertise, regulatory understanding, and long-term commitment
to performance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operational since March 2024, the facility has contributed to a marked reduction in odour and river
pollution affecting Kampung Valdor and Sungai Jawi. Public complaints previously recorded by the
State Government have shown a clear decline following its commissioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his address, the Chief Minister described the project as a landmark breakthrough in Malaysia\u2019s
livestock waste management reform, calling it a decisive shift from legacy practices to modern,
engineered environmental solutions. He commended Timeless Green for delivering a wholly privately
financed initiative with measurable environmental impact and encouraged the replication of the
model not only across Penang but nationwide as part of Malaysia\u2019s broader sustainability and clean
energy agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project utilises an integrated waste-to-energy biogas system that converts livestock waste into
renewable electricity supplied to the national grid under Malaysia\u2019s Feed-in Tariff scheme,
administered by SEDA Malaysia. Beyond power generation, the facility demonstrates how engineering
design, regulatory compliance, stakeholder coordination, and disciplined long-term operations must
work together to achieve sustained environmental improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By adopting modern treatment technology, traditional farms can continue operating in alignment with
both community expectations and environmental safeguards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
