NanoMalaysia Berhad (NMB) has announced the successful industrial deployment of a homegrown, graphene-enhanced concrete (GEC) technology, marking a major leap from laboratory pilot to real-world infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"p-rc_adec3f1d23e6a438-31\">The technology, commercialised by local SME IDC Global Holdings Sdn Bhd (IDC), is already being poured into the foundations of Malaysia\u2019s digital future, including the Princeton Digital Group (PDG) data centre facility in Sedenak, Johor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The &#8220;Super-Material&#8221; Multiplier<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Graphene, often dubbed a &#8220;wonder material,&#8221; acts as a force multiplier when added to concrete admixtures. Developed under the National Graphene Action Plan (NGAP), this indigenous IP offers a triple-threat of industrial benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Enhanced Strength &amp; Durability:<\/strong> Increases the structural integrity and lifecycle performance of infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Waterproofing:<\/strong> Provides built-in resistance to moisture, critical for sensitive data centre environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Carbon Sequestration:<\/strong> Features green properties that align with Malaysia\u2019s sustainability and low-carbon economy goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>From Lab to Regional Leader<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"p-rc_adec3f1d23e6a438-33\">NMB\u2019s &#8220;Venture Builder&#8221; investment model served as the bridge between Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and the commercial market.
