The system features smart technology such as mobile app access, real-time tracking, GPS &amp; RFID parking, Geo-Fencing, battery swapping, and solar-powered charging stations. The launch ceremony was officiated by UTAR President Dato\u2019 Ewe Hong Tat and attended by university leaders, TAIGU management, and representatives from Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS). This successful launch reinforces TAIGU\u2019s mission to expand smart, safe, and sustainable mobility solutions across Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) has officially launched the TAIGU e-Bike Sharing System at its Kampar Campus recently, marking another significant milestone in the university\u2019s journey towards a smarter, greener, and more sustainable campus environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This green mobility initiative is a collaboration between UTAR and United TAIGU Technology Group, reflecting both parties\u2019 shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and enhancing campus life for students and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advancing Smart Green Campus Development<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch ceremony was officiated by UTAR President, IR Professor Dato\u2019 Ewe Hong Tat, who highlighted that the initiative goes beyond transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is not merely a transport service. It is an important step towards building a smart and green campus, and reflects UTAR\u2019s continued commitment to sustainable development,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the project will help reduce carbon emissions, improve mobility convenience for the campus community, and encourage healthier lifestyle choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Convenient and Sustainable Mobility for Students and Staff<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>United TAIGU Technology Group Chairman, Mr. Gao En Hai, expressed appreciation to UTAR for its trust and support in bringing the initiative to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He shared that the e-Bike sharing service is designed to make movement across the expansive and vibrant Kampar Campus easier, faster, and more efficient for students and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur goal is simple \u2013 to make campus mobility more convenient, seamless, and accessible for everyone. Whether travelling to lecture halls, libraries, cafeterias, or other campus facilities, these e-Bikes offer a practical and efficient transport solution.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also emphasised the importance of safe riding practices, responsible usage, and proper parking etiquette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smart Mobility Features<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Developed with user convenience and sustainability in mind, the TAIGU e-Bike Sharing System integrates several smart mobility features, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mobile app access Real-time location tracking GPS and RFID parking system, Geo-Fencing System, Battery swapping support Solar-powered charging stations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These features are aimed at providing a smooth, user-friendly riding experience while supporting UTAR\u2019s broader sustainability goals and efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Positive Reception from Students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the launch ceremony, TAIGU\u2019s operations team conducted a live demonstration session, allowing guests, students, and staff to better understand the system and how it works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presence of Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) highlighted the growing importance of safe and sustainable micromobility solutions in Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students also welcomed the initiative positively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Computer Science student, Lee Feng Qi, described the project as a practical and forward-looking addition to campus life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGiven the scale of the Kampar campus, the e-Bike sharing system will make travelling between locations much easier, especially with tight class schedules.
