Its first plant commenced commercial operations in May 2026, marking a significant step forward in managing municipal solid waste while generating energy from waste that would otherwise be sent to landfill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond infrastructure, WHB\u2019s WTE journey has also contributed to developing local talent and technical capabilities, providing opportunities for Malaysians to build expertise and experience in an increasingly important sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ahmad Zaki Ahmad Zainuddin, Group Chief Executive Officer of WHB, said, \u201cWe are proud that our WTE journey is not only delivering critical infrastructure, but also building local capabilities and nurturing Malaysian talent in this sector.
