Aimed at addressing future trends that will impact the accountancy profession, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with UNITAR International University.<\/p>\n
This partnership plans on priming future accountants on capitalising technological trends and prep them for the larger role they will be required to play in tomorrow\u2019s businesses.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this fast-changing business environment, knowing how to capitalise on new technology will allow the future accountant more time to focus on higher value areas such as providing real-time insights, greater in-depth analysis and innovative business advice,\u201d says Executive Director of ICAEW, Mark Protherough. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Through this collaboration, ICAEW will incorporate subjects from its internationally-recognised qualifications into selected degree programmes at UNITAR International University.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mark also shares that in the next 10 years, 65% of children today will be expected to work in roles that currently do not exist and this partnership is one of the many ways ICAEW is working to ensure the profession is prepared to meet the future needs of businesses in Malaysia and around the world.<\/p>\n
