CYBERJAYA, 29 SEPTEMBER 2020 – Cyberview Sdn Bhd, Cyberjaya’s Tech Hub Developer recently organised a ‘Cyberjaya Tour’ programme to showcase the city’s new masterplan and site visits to key landmarks, following overwhelming interest from businesses, investors and real estate agents in a prior live panel discussion as part of its monthly webinar series.
The half-day programme was attended by more than 100 participants, twice more than expected, made up of entrepreneurs, business decision makers, innovators, investors, and real estate agents across Klang Valley. It was supported by Cyberview’s strategic partners, ecosystem players as well as its Cyberjaya Living Lab Accelerator programme alumni and participating startups from its current cohort.
Roni Shah Mustapha, Head of Business, City and Communications Division of Cyberview: “We were extremely pleased to see an increase of interest in Cyberjaya from businesses and real estate agents, especially after a slow start this year. This level of interest from businesses tells us that they see the value in what Cyberjaya has to offer from infrastructure to resources and more. We look forward to working with them, whether the intention is to set up their operations here or explore high-value innovations in the city.”
As a Technology Hub Developer, Cyberview was recently mandated by the government to spearhead the development of the city. The new masterplan will focus on developing a holistic technology ecosystem comprising of commercial and digital activities. It envisions Cyberjaya as the preferred investment destination for technology companies as well as citywide technology adoption to strengthen its position as a smart city.
Earlier this year, Cyberview launched the Cyberjaya Investment and Services Centre (CISC), a one-stop centre that provides facilitation on business services and location, expat services and talent services. CISC serves as a touchpoint not only for business owners and investors who need information, but also to the community at large.
Cyberjaya is equipped with world-class infrastructure and access to high-speed fibreoptic internet, which comes with globally competitive telecommunication tariffs. The city is also a green township and the first in Malaysia to implement low carbon strategies.
Roni concluded, “While our goal at Cyberjaya is to attract tech and ICT companies to be part of our ecosystem, we envision a complete symbiosis of businesses from various industries, both local and foreign. We are open to forming partnerships from companies of all scales and sectors, so that we can come together and move as a singular unit in driving the growth of a Global Technology Hub.”
