KUALA LUMPUR, 30 NOVEMBER 2022: The Bumiputera Business Excellence Awards (BBEA) 2022, a premier Award Programme dedicated to honouring exceptional entrepreneurs, businesses and corporate personalities in Malaysia was held today at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
The event which was supported and officiated by YBhg Tan Sri Noh Bin Hj. Omar saw over 70 local entrepreneurs, businesses and corporate personalities from various industries getting recognised for their business innovation and achievements.
Numerous celebrity entrepreneurs who have built highly successful careers outside their entertainment industry were also acknowledged which included prominent names such as Shahmira Muhammad (aka Shuib of BubbleBee) and Tia Arifin.
BBEA 2022 also commemorated Malaysia’s legendary singers for their involvement in the local and international music scene that has long been an inspiration for many, distinguished awardees included YBhg Datuk Amy Search, YBhg Datuk Nora Ariffin, Ella Aminuddin and Anuar Zain.
BBEA this year featured an exclusive runway showcasing the collections of Malaysian fashion designers Bon Zainal and Ezuwan Ismail. Part of BBEA’s mission and vision is to identify, recognise and support not only the successful businesses and brands but also to support the new brands and entrepreneurs.
Business and social sustainability practices should make up a part of the company’s culture big or small, and in view of this BBEA also recognised a handful of CSR initiatives that were worthy to be acknowledge by corporates in the past year through a dedicated award category for ‘Excellence in CSR’. This year the CSR category winners were Bank Rakyat, Nestle, Pelaburan MARA, Celcom, KPJ Healthcare and RHB Foundation.
Over 300 guests encompassing the multitude of up-and-coming Bumiputera entrepreneurs, leading local SMEs and corporate leaders were celebrated and congratulated for their enterprising spirit and winning mentality in building their brand’s success towards the nation’s economy.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Bumiputera Business Excellence Awards 2022, Mahathir Mahzan - highlights that the award is a recognition of outstanding achievements and as a motivation to encourage the entrepreneur to continue to succeed and hope that they can benefit and be competitive in the businesses they are engaged in.
This is in line with this year's theme, 'Championing Excellence, Celebrating Togetherness', where they have shown their dedication and extraordinary perseverance to always be one step ahead in adapting to economic changes.
