TDM Berhad ("TDM" or "the Group") has officially unveiled its Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan 2024-2026, signalling its commitment to strengthening governance, integrity, and anti-corruption efforts. The launch event was led by Haji Najman Kamaruddin, TDM's Executive Director, and attended by KPKPj Hazrul Syazreen Abd. Yazid, Director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) in Terengganu, as well as YM Syed Ibrahim Sayd Othman, Head Group Risk, Compliance and Integrity, Terengganu Incorporated and Haji Mohd Mardi Ismail, Head of Risk Management, Integrity, Compliance & Sustainability at TDM Berhad. The ceremony took place at Duyong Marina & Resort.
The introduction of the TDM OACP Plan for 2024-2026 builds upon the foundations laid by the National Anti-Corruption Plan (NACP) 2019-2023. Additionally, on May 7, 2024, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim launched the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) 2024-2028.
The new NACP is a crucial element in defining comprehensive core strategies aimed at preventing and curbing corruption in Malaysia. It emphasizes the effectiveness of anti-corruption prevention measures and aims to enhance governance and integrity in public service administration and government-related entities.
TDM is actively working towards achieving the objectives outlined in the TDM Berhad OACP Plan 2024- 2026, focusing on four strategic cores: driving economic growth and maximizing profits, enhancing roles and image, improving quality and empowering delivery systems, and strengthening organizational management and human capital development to create a more efficient and integrity-focused service delivery system. The implementation of this plan will enable TDM to better tackle the increasing challenges in realizing its vision of leading, generating, and contributing to the socio-economic development of the state.
TDM LAUNCHES AN ORGANISATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION PLAN 2024-2026
"The OACP Plan is a foundational anti-corruption document at the organizational level that reflects TDM's seriousness in combating all forms of corruption, misconduct, and abuse of power while fostering integrity practices in the daily operations of the TDM Group," said Hj Najman Kamaruddin, Executive Director of TDM Berhad.
Corruption poses significant dangers, as it not only results in injustice for innocent individuals but also serves as a primary driver of power abuse. Moreover, it contributes to widespread injustice, undermines ethical values and transparency, and diminishes professionalism in various operations.
"Once again, I urge all parties in TDM Group parties at every level to offer their complete support to ensure the success of the OACP Plan and to advance Malaysia's goal of becoming a completely corruption-free nation. With the strategies detailed in this plan, may we achieve the aspiration to make Malaysia, and specifically Terengganu free from corruption,” he added.
