The Kuala Lumpur Chinese Assembly Hall (KLCAH) will celebrate its “KLCAH 19th Anniversary & Building Fund Raising Dinner” with thousands of guests including all leaders, presidents & chairman from various associations and many more invited attendees. The main objective is to raise RM1 million funds for the building.
The President, Datuk Seri Dr KK Chai said that KLCAH is having 90 association members, 900 individual members and most of the association members are country representatives.
Founded in May 2003. KLCAH was founded by 13 Chinese Associations, registered and approved by Registrar of Society (ROS) on 30th October 2003 by the Founder & Honorary Presidents Datuk Liew Poon Siak and the late Datuk Liew Kon Seng. KLCAH aims to promote goodwill and unity among the members and the various races in the country. The logo of the association consists of four (4) circles. The first circle (the most outer part) is white in colour which represents various Malaysian cultures. The second circle is grey in colours which represents business and economy. The third circle is blue in colour which represents education and the last part (the inner part) represents the welfare of the community.
KLCAH marks 19 years of growth and witnessing the changing and vigorous development of Malaysia. KLCAH has continuously carry out various charitable activities to relieve and provide kind assistance to the needy even we are facing the political instability in Malaysia and the impact of the epidemic.
KLCAH is actively making announcements and giving comments at all times. KLCAH always publishes the voice of Malaysians to the government through the compilation of big data analysis on all kinds of topics. KLCAH highlighted that the association is care but not involved in the politics and acts more than a politician. KLCAH contributes to the society by promoting the harmonious coexistence of all ethnic groups.
The committee members proposed to appoint the President Datuk Ser Dr KK Chai, Treasurer Dato William Chow and Secretary General Mr. See Foo Hong to arrange on the purchase of KLCAH Secretariat at Maju Link, Bandar Tasik Selatan during the 2nd committee meeting on 24th January 2022 and it was further endorsed on KLCAH Annual General Meeting on 25th June 2022.
KLCAH is enjoying 20% below market price which is RM1,090,000 for the said unit and Maju Link is located at the KL City, is the hub for terminal bus station with spacious at concourse area. The total cost for the unit including renovation is RM1,500,000. The renovation was started recently and estimated completion date is end of December 2022. The committees are facing shortage of RM1,200,000. With this, the association is raising fund through KLCAH 19th Anniversary Dinner and aim to raise RM1 million.
Datuk Seri Dr KK Chai commented that there is no surprise on the announcement of Parliament dissolves on Monday, 10.10.22 as there is many instability on the political for the past 4 years. Let’s the Rakyat vote for the coming election.
“The change of 3 Prime Ministers in the past 4 years is recorded in Malaysia history and Malaysian are tired of it. One of the proud stories to tell is our front liner who has put in their efforts to control the epidemic despite the political issues. However, the research shown the global economy will be in a challenging situation as the war between Russia & Ukraine is endless. We as a Malaysian urges the incoming government to stabilize the Malaysia economy and all other aspects soonest possible to face all the global economic challenges” said by Datuk Seri Dr KK Chai.
Datuk Seri Dr KK Chai pointed out that the exchange rate has depreciated another 10% this year which is also the lowest in the past 24 years since the 1998 financial crisis. However, Malaysians are aware that the strength of the US dollar is a global phenomenon, it is not only Malaysia being affected.
