KUALA LUMPUR, 10 SEPTEMBER 2020 – Higher spending power and a heightened preference for contactless transactions will continue to drive the exponential growth of the digital economy, according to Facebook and Bain & Company who released a follow-up to the 2019 study Riding the Digital Wave. The new study titled Digital Consumers of Tomorrow, Here Today looks into the rapid acceleration of the digital economy and how this affects the future of e-commerce in Southeast Asia.
The study surveyed approximately 16,500 digital consumers and gathered insights from interviews with about 20+ CXOs across six Southeast Asian countries, namely, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Digital consumers surveyed are those who have made an online purchase in at least 2 product categories in the past 3 months.
[Online meeting, September 10, 2020] The 5G World Summit 2020 was held online recently. Huawei's 5G Telco Converged Cloud (TCC) Solution won the "Best Network Virtualization Initiative" award at the summit for its innovative virtual machine and container dual engines.
Cloudification is the foundation of the 5G network and an irreversible trend for telecom networks. With the evolution from 4G to 5G, virtual machines (VMs) and containers will co-exist in the 5G network. A unified resource pool is required to implement simple resource management and optimal resource utilization across the network. An increasing number of industry applications need to be deployed at edge sites with the large scale commercialization of 5G. Diversified computing capabilities will be widely used on the network. In order to meet strict network SLA, infrastructure reliability need to be further enhanced.
PETALING JAYA, 10th September, 2020: Malaysians who are searching for their ideal home will now be able to enjoy additional rewards thanks to a collaboration between proptech company Didian and BonusLink, Malaysia’s first premier consumer rewards program. The campaign, titled ‘On The Hunt For A New Home?’ is also the first time a B2B property marketplace has been introduced within the BonusLink programme.
Launched on September 1, the campaign will continue till December 31 and will allow over 9 million BonusLink users to collect up to 100,000 BonusLink Points when purchasing featured developer projects listed on the Didian property marketplace. The projects include the Starling at Bandar Rimbayu, the Amaya at Maple Residences, PJ Midtown and Armani SOHO with home prices starting from RM 314,000.
