Kuala Lumpur, May 11 – AmBank (M) Berhad (AmBank) opened its new branch in Nu Sentral, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Kuala Lumpur, earlier this week.

The new and modern designed branch located at Kuala Lumpur Sentral CBD, Kuala Lumpur’s strategic Central Business District, was officially opened by Tan Sri Azman Hashim, Chairman, AmBank Group, accompanied by Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir, Group Chief Executive Officer, AmBank Group, Jade Lee, Managing Director, Retail Banking, AmBank (M) Berhad, the AmBank Group Senior Management and staff.

“The Nu Sentral branch sports our latest ergonomic branch design which has been planned meticulously to enhance efficiency and provide superior customer experience. The branch is equipped with a full range of ATMs, CDMs, cheque scanning machine to make banking more comfortable and convenient for our customers,” said Azman. 

The branch is relocated from its previous location in KL Sentral to a larger space to accommodate more counter transactions and business. Located on two Levels, Ground and First floor, the new branch occupies a total space of about 1,866 square feet with four Self-Service Machines. The allocation of four Self-Service Machines are as follows: 

• two Automated Teller Machines (ATM) 

• one Cash Deposit Machines (CDM) and;

• a Cheque Scanning Machine 

“The Nu Sentral branch is among the first few AmBank branches to have gone live with the CASA onboarding process automation rollout. Customers will be able to validate his personal information in an e-Form and sign digitally via a tablet. What it mean is that the processing time to open an account with the bank is now reduced from around 45 minutes to less than 10 minutes through a Paperless Straight-Through-Process. I am pleased to say that AmBank is one of the first few pioneer local banks to have this capability,” added Azman. 

The Nu Sentral AmBank Branch operating hours are from 9am to 4.30pm from Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.00pm on Friday. The Branch is manned by eight staff and is headed by Arulendra Chandra Mohan Dass, Relief Branch Manager, assisted by Assistant Branch Manager Nora Suib.
