BIMB Securities Sdn Bhd, the only full-fledged Shariah-compliant Stockbroking Company and a wholly owned subsidiary of BIMB Holdings Bhd, signed a

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PT MNC Sekuritas, a member of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and part of the conglomerate MNC Corporation in Indonesia.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by President Director of PT MNC Sekuritas,Ibu Susy Meilina and the Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of BIMB Securities Sdn Bhd Rashid Ismail. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Datuk Seri Tajuddin Atan, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia Berhad, representatives from Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission, the Board of Directors and Shariah Advisory Committee of BIMB Securities Sdn Bhd as

well as PT MNC’s representatives and Samsul Hidayat, Director of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by both parties is with the interest of developing business cooperation relations between the two parties; to bring into play the strength of each party in providing quality products and services to customer as well as enhancing the position of each party in

the market and expanding their customer network. Both parties also agreed to share mutually beneficial investment opportunities and share partnership where both parties are interested to expand the cooperation.

BIMB Securities’ relationship with PT MNC started back in October 2016 at the ASEAN Brokers Networking which was conducted in Hanoi, Vietnam, during which BIMB Securities were looking for a shariah compliant stockbroking firm based in Indonesia. 

Subsequently, in April 2017, a meeting was held with PT MNC Sekuritas and Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) Indonesia. Arising from the fruitful

discussion, PT MNC opened an account with BIMB Securities, and vice versa, BIMB Securities opened an account with PT MNC to facilitate trading of clients in both countries.
