Kota Bharu, March 31 – Giant Tunjung Mall opens its doors today boasting 195,000 sq ft in size with 127 retailers under one roof. With this second hypermarket in Kelantan, Giant Tunjung Mall marks another significant growth for GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd and signifies GCH Retail’s strength as the leading player in Malaysia’s food retail industry.
With its new store concept and layout, coupled with 350 parking bays and 57,000 sq ft of hypermarket haven, Giant Tunjung Mall will be the one-stop solution provider for all family needs, able to cater to more than 51,000 households within the area.
Designed with the consumers in mind, the mall is equipped with dining outlets, major fast-food chain restaurants as well as a big food court offering a wide of selection of local delicacies. An icing on the cake at the mall, will be the 700 sq ft indoor children playground to delight the shoppers.
Strategically located opposite the UTC building, between Kota Bharu and Pasir Mas, Giant Tunjung is the first hypermarket to serve the surrounding community. The mall will be the catalyst to transform the entire Bandar Baru Tunjung’s up and coming neighborhood into a sought after township that offers a myriad of facilities to the residents.

As part of Giant’s CSR, Deplanck handed over a cheque worth RM50,000.00 to MyKasih Foundation. This fund will be distributed to 50 underprivileged families from around Kota Bharu to enable them to shop for their basic grocery items at Giant on a monthly basis for 12 months.
