Petaling Jaya, May 16 – In the wake of the fourth industrial revolution, Malaysian training provider, Talent Development (M) Sdn Bhd’s regional office and facilities was officially opened yesterday by Datuk Seri Richard Riot Anak Jaem, Minister of Human Resource Malaysia.

The first of its kind in Malaysia and ASEAN, Talent Development (M) Sdn Bhd’s training facilities will ensure internationally recognised certification achieved by participants as part of Mechatronics – an industry comprising electronic, mechanical and IT related systems and processes.

This globally and industry recognized certification, meets requirements and criteria for Malaysians to be fully qualified to manage any Mechatronic Systems.

The collaboration with Siemens was an opportunity identified through an innovative attempt by Talent Development (M) Sdn Bhd and Siemens in moving economic progress in a technology era.

Talent Development (M) Sdn Bhd is Siemens’ first private authorised education partner in Malaysia and the ASEAN region to offer Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Programme (SMSCP) Level 1. The highly acclaimed SMSCP certification is awarded by Siemens Technical Academy, Berlin, Germany.

Today, in preparation of a workforce ready for the industry 4.0 revolution, employees are graduating with SMSCP certification and SITRAIN (Siemens Industry Training) in Malaysia through programmes delivered by Talent Development (M) Sdn Bhd that help up-skill, re-skill and multi-skill the Malaysian workforce for the first time in the country.

The first of its kind in country and the region, the partnership between Talent Development (M) Sdn Bhd and Maersk Training India develop this facility as  an accredited centre under Maersk Training by International Well Control Forum (IWCF) and International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) to offer Drilling / Well Control courses for the Oil & Gas Industry  in Malaysia where the Malaysian workforce are appropriately up-skilled through global certification to work in the oil and gas industry under Drilling Function.
