Kuala Lumpur, April 19 – Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) once again bagged the coveted award, Telecom Service Provider of the Year at the recent 2017 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards, making it the sixth time TM is being recognised with the accolade at the prestigious award ceremony.
The event was even more meaningful for TM when its Group Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, was bestowed with the most coveted award, Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award. It was only the third (3rd) time this award was given out in the last 13 years.
Besides these two awards, TM’s wholly-owned subsidiary, VADS Berhad (VADS) also won Infrastructure as a Service Provider of the Year, an award that was introduced for the first time this year.
Present to accept the awards on behalf of the Company were Datuk Bazlan Osman, Executive Director / Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer, TM, and Massimo Migliuolo, Chief Executive Officer, VADS.
In receiving the award, Tan Sri Zamzamzairani enthused, “It is a great honour for me and I am sincerely humbled by this award. I accept the award really on behalf of TM and the amazing group of employees who are the life and blood of TM. I am very grateful to have a strong team to support and stay the course with me for all these years. This really is a tribute to Warga TM nationwide, as without them, I wouldn’t be here. I would also like to give my appreciation to all our other stakeholders, and especially our customers. This award is really one of the highlights of my career.”
