Kuala Lumpur, Feb 7- Petronas has awarded Uzma Bhd’s subsidiary, Uzma Engineering Sdn Bhd (UESB), as one of its Panel Contractor for an Umbrella Contract for the Provision of Electric Wireline Logging (EWL).
This contract will run for a duration of three (3) years, commencing from 1st December 2016 to 30th November 2019, with two extension options of one (1) year each (3+1+1 years) for Cased Hole Logging Services across the Pan Malaysia area.
“This contract has further proven Petronas’ commitment in the development of local oil & gas players such as Uzma into more competitive areas by providing business opportunities despite the economic downturn, thereby supporting the growth of Malaysia’s oil and gas upstream services industry.” says Datuk Kamarul Redzuan, the CEO of UZMA.
“This will enable UZMA’s wireline division, better known as uzmaWIRELINE, to pursue potential collaboration with other international companies, which will further strengthen its presence in Malaysia; particularly for Electric Wireline Logging Services.”
Focused on providing effective and efficient integrated solutions, uzmaWIRELINE’s established track record has proven to be more than competent in delivering exceptional services and quality with their current contract to Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) for the past two years. This Umbrella Contract will further enable Uzma to build further competencies and track record across Pan Malaysia.
