MIG Mobile Tech Berhad, a sister company of MIG Group of Companies has officially launched WECONNECT’s O2O – Scan2Pay, a mobile payment platform, at the Connaught Pasar Malam in Cheras recently.
The official launch event unveiled Asia’s first digital night market, better known as “Pasar Malam” in Malaysia, where over 10,000 guests and 50 vendors had a first-hand experience of Malaysia’s first cashless Pasar Malam with WECONNECT’s Scan2Pay mobile payment application.
WECONNECT is the first-of-its-kind mobile application in Malaysia designed to facilitate shopping, business and trade (online and offline) transactions, launched in August last year, developed by award-winning entrepreneurs, Datuk Brian Wee and Datuk Stanley Wong.
Connaught Pasar Malam is the first night market in Malaysia to implement the Scan2Pay mobile payment system. The Scan2Pay technology benefits both the vendors and consumers by providing a cashless payment system, reducing transaction time where the means of paper cash and coins are not required.
Moving forward with Malaysia’s initiative in becoming a cashless society by 2020, MIG Mobile Tech Berhad aims to introduce the WECONNECT mobile application and Scan2Pay feature to all night markets across Malaysia.
