GHL Systems Berhad announced that it has successfully turned on and enabled more than 100 merchants across over 500 in-stores locations across Malaysia to commence accepting Alipay as a payment option.

These 500 locations of the following pioneering batch merchants will now be able to accept payments from Alipay app users. To name a few of the merchants:

• KK Super Mart, total 250 outlets

• Orange Convenient Store, total 36 outlets

• 168 Stores, total 15 outlets

• myNews.com, total 63 outlets

• Wah Lee Electrical, total 13 outlets

• Crocs, total 26 outlets

• Leather Avenue, total 15 outlets

• Ban Heang, total 8 outlets

This momentum is expected to continue as more merchants, chain stores, restaurants, hotels and other business establishments gets onboard with Alipay acceptance and at least 1,000 locations are expected to be turned on by Q3 2017. 

Alipay’s Malaysia Country Head, Greta Gunawan said, “Alipay’s acceptance at these 500 locations bodes well for the convenience of our Alipay users. Alipay is going to help boostChinese tourists spending at these merchants and better connect merchants with the Chinese customers.”
