Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd, a global integrated engineering services provider, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Serba Dinamik Sdn. Bhd. (SDSB), entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Izin Budi Sdn. Bhd. (IBSB) for the collaborative development of integrated industrial and commercial projects across 15.87 acres of land in Pengerang, Johor for a total consideration of RM24.20 million payable to IBSB representing the minimum return and a guaranteed return of minimum seven percent (7%) of the gross income from the Development Project.
Group Managing Director / Group Chief Executive Officer of Serba Dinamik Holdings, Dato’ Dr. Ir. Mohd. Abdul Karim bin Abdullah expressed: “We are glad to be successfully embarking on the project to develop the 15.87 acres of Land, as part of our total development of up to 132 acres Land as an integrated industrial, commercial and residential project in Pengerang, Johor with the estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM1.4 billion.”
“Today, you are not only here to witness a land sale, but to witness history in the making, as we are going to establish Malaysia’s first oil and gas maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) Global Centre of Excellence. In addition, this project will consist of Pengerang Eco-Industrial Park (PeIP), Pengerang International Commercial Centre (PICC) and Pengerang Northshore Residence (PNR).”
He added; “Serba Dinamik’s PeIP will be strategically located near Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) [1], Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC) and Pengerang Deepwater Terminal (PDT). The large number of plants, machinery and equipment at PIC, PIPC and PDT will require regular MRO, IRM and plant turnover services to maintain its efficiency and safety, hence we are strengthening our presence surrounding them.”
“Furthermore, PeIP will also incorporate technical and vocational education and training (TVET) to develop relevant skills for Malaysians in particular, which will serve as a regular supply of skilled resources for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries in Pengerang. We will run technical training courses and have accessible training facilities and workshops nationwide.”
The first Malaysia MRO and IRM Global Centre of Excellence will be located within PeIP, across 35 acres of land, which will also house the Company’s own MRO and IRM operations as the anchor service provider at PeIP.
To date, Serba Dinamik Holdings has a total of 7 service centres nationwide and this addition of MRO and IRM Global Centre of Excellence is expected to attract service providers locally and abroad to establish their presence in Johor.
Moreover, as an anchor company for the Vendor Development Programme (“VDP”) since December 2015, selected by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Serba Dinamik Holdings currently has 7 vendors in its books and intends to nurture these SMEs into becoming global service providers. There will also be a designated area for VDP companies within PeIP to support this initiative.
