Wah Seong Corporation Berhad (WSC) announced its indirect subsidiary PT Wasco Engineering Indonesia has been awarded a contract by Siemens SAS to design and build three substations for the Tengizchevroil (TCO) Area Project, Kazakhstan, worth USD24,219,929 million (equivalent to RM103,637,076).
The scope of work includes the structural design and analysis, 3D modelling and installation of ancillary system such as lighting, safety, fire & gas detection.
It also includes the provision of al necessary manufacturing drawings and full procurement of all items within its design scope and subsequently the responsibility for all aspects of the construction phase including installation and integration of all the free issue equipment. The activity is expected to commence in third quarter of 2017 and be completed by 30 October 2018.
The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of WSC Group over the contract period. WSC’s order book as at 31st March 2017 stood at RM3.76b largely contributed by the oil & gas division of the group.
