Kuala Lumpur, April 18 – Integrated engineering solutions provider, Kelington Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Kelington Engineering (S) Pte Ltd has secured a new contract amounting to SGD 7.67 million (equivalent to RM24.2 million) for the engineering design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of process piping system for Givaudan Singapore Pte Ltd, one of the world’s largest global manufacturer of flavor, fragrances and active cosmetic ingredients.
Ir. Raymond Gan, Chief Executive Officer of Kelington said, “We are very pleased to have secured this contract as we succeed at expanding our client network to include global MNCs beyond the electronics sector. This project will contribute to our capabilities and track record in handling process engineering contracts, which is a segment that we aim to grow.”
“Last year, the process engineering segment only contributed 6% to the Group’s total revenue. Moving forward, we aim to grow this segment to contribute 30% of our total revenue within the next three to five years.”
The contract is expected to be completed by December 2017 and will positively contribute to the Group’s financial performance in this financial year ended 31 December 2017.
Inclusive of this contract, the Group has secured a total of RM100.3 million worth of new orders since the start of the year. Kelington’s current outstanding orderbook now stands at RM263.5 million.
